Create an elegant summer display with the Dicentra Valentine. This striking perennial enjoys a unique look, sporting strings of red, heart-shaped blooms, which hang from their stems like paper lanterns. Each flower sports two protruding white petals, providing stunning contrast.

Dicentra prefers moist, humus-rich soil in partial shade, although it will tolerate a sunny spot if its soil is kept cool. Plant it in shady borders or beneath shrubs and trees and it will thrive throughout the summer and into early autumn.
