Maintenance and cleaning should be done on a regular basis. All normal non-abrasive household or institutional cleaners should be acceptable cleaning agents for this sealer system. However, if the cleaner has never been used before, it is wise to pick a small area and test the cleaner for discoloration before widespread use. We recommend a solution of 4 parts water to 1 part white vinegar or All-Purpose Cleaner for daily cleaning of your concrete table tops.

During periods of non-use it is advisable to keep your furniture covered. DO NOT use any acid cleaners on your GRC furniture. Knives will pierce the sealer, rendering the counters more susceptible to staining. Additionally, the concrete will severely dull the knife's cutting edge. Scratches in the sealer may occur if heavy, rough, or sharp objects are dragged across the concrete tabletop surface. Should a scratch occur, it could be fixed and/or minimized with a touch-up of a normal concrete sealer available in a paint shop.

Our sealers have resistance to a wide variety of substances typically found in the kitchen and bath as well as industrial and residential cleaners. Clients should use normal care with respect to water, oil, and food. Spills should be wiped up as soon as possible. Stone and concrete are acid sensitive, so it is important to wipe up spills from acidic substances (including citrus juice, mustard, and wine) immediately, before acid etching occurs.

DO NOT place any hot objects directly onto the surface of your GRC furniture – always use a table mat or trivets to ensure no damage from high heat.

Non-structural hairline cracks are possible and are considered an inherent part of the product, not a manufacturing defect. Hairline cracks can occur at any time during the life of the tabletop but are not a common occurrence.
