Dobbies Club Terms and Conditions

General

  • These terms and conditions, in conjunction with the Dobbies privacy policy, are applicable across the Dobbies Club and Club Plus schemes and any participation is considered as acceptance. Additional terms and conditions may be in place for optional elements of the scheme, examples of which include, but are not limited to, prize draws and competitions. Members participating in the optional elements of the scheme will be considered as having accepted the additional terms and conditions.
  • Dobbies Garden Centres Limited reserve the right to alter or delete any of the Dobbies Club or Club Plus benefits at any time without prior notice.
  • To be a member of Dobbies Club or Club Plus you must be aged 18 or over and be a resident in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.
  • Only one membership per person and only one named member per membership is allowed. 
  • In order to receive emails from Dobbies, members must provide us with a valid email address and be opted into receiving email communications from Dobbies. 
  • If you supply us with an email address you are consenting to receiving marketing material from Dobbies Club or Club Plus. Dobbies will not pass on your personal details to any third party except where we have your permission, where we are required to do so by law and to contracted companies who provide a service to us. Member events

  • Members will receive invitations to exclusive member events either via post or via email provided this has been supplied by a member. Members can update their details at any time at dobbies.com/loyalty
  • Please note if a member has unsubscribed from Dobbies emails we may not be able to notify them about events.

Member offers

  • Member offers are subject to availability and no cash alternative or substitution is available.
  • Dobbies Club or Dobbies Club Plus exclusive member offers may not always be valid in conjunction with other discounts, offers or promotions.
  • A valid membership card must be presented and scanned at the point of purchase in-store or be entered online to qualify for exclusive member offers.

Priority booking for events   

  • Members will be notified by email as to when priority slots for relevant Dobbies events will be available. Please note not all Dobbies events will have priority booking slots.
  • If a member has unsubscribed from Dobbies emails we may not be able to notify them about priority booking slots.
  • Priority slots will be released a minimum of 24 hours in advance of general release.
  • Members must have a valid membership card to be eligible for priority booking.
  • Priority slots are only available online and members are restricted to one booking per event.

Access to exclusive online content

  • Members can access exclusive content at dobbies.com/club. Members must have a registered membership card to do this and can register at dobbies.com.

Terms & conditions: Club

Membership cards

  • A Dobbies Club membership card can be used in any Dobbies Garden Centre, Dobbies Garden Cafe and online at dobbies.com.
  • To receive a physical membership card you must supply us with your home address. You will receive your membership card at this address within 5-10 working days.
  • Members must register their membership card online at dobbies.com to be eligible for all member benefits online.
  • To set up an online account you must have an email address. Only one email address can be registered to an account.
  • Your membership card can only be used by the named and registered member. It cannot be transferred or copied.
  • A valid membership card must be presented and scanned at the point of purchase in-centre or be entered online to qualify for exclusive member offers, discounts and points. 
  • Your membership card must be presented when returning any goods allowing us to credit/debit the appropriate points from your card.
  • The membership card is issued by and remains the property of Dobbies Garden Centres Limited who reserve the right to terminate the scheme without prior notice and/or, on reasonable grounds, withdraw or cancel any membership card that they feel has been subject to abuse or attempted abuse.

Points

  • Club members can collect 1 point for every £1 spent in a single transaction (after discounts). Each point is worth 1p in cashback vouchers.
  • Points will be allocated to the account associated with the membership card scanned. Please note that points may not appear instantly on the members account.
  • If your membership card is registered to an online Dobbies account, when shopping at dobbies.com, points will automatically be applied to the members' account. 
  • Points cannot be collected at third party concessions in Dobbies Garden Centres, at the butcher counters in Dobbies Food Halls and when purchasing Giftcards. Other exclusions may apply.
  • Points are converted into vouchers twice a year. Dates of issue are subject to change.
  • Only members who have collected 150 points or over will receive a money back voucher. For members who have collected under 150 points, these points will roll over and a voucher will be issued in the next available statement once they have collected 150 points. 
  • Any promotional vouchers linked to Dobbies Club are non-transferable and are valid only for use with the card holder. As such they cannot be sold or transferred for any monetary gain.
  • Voucher terms and conditions apply and will be stated on the reverse of each voucher.
  • Dobbies Garden Centres reserves the right to alter the terms of the points system at any time.

Terms & conditions: Club Plus

Membership cards

  • A Dobbies Club Plus membership is valid for one year from the day of purchase and your membership card can be used in any Dobbies Garden Centre, Dobbies Garden Cafe and online at dobbies.com.
  • To receive a physical membership card you must supply us with your home address. You will receive your membership card at this address within 5-10 working days.
  • Members must register their membership card online at dobbies.com to be eligible for all member benefits online.

Payment

Recurring Payment

  • To sign up for Dobbies Club Plus membership you need to have a valid email address.
  • At the end of your first contract period, your membership will automatically renew unless you notify us before the renewal date or 14 days after your first payment that you do not want your membership to continue.
  • By signing up for Dobbies Club Plus, you authorise us to take the membership fee both at the start of your membership and when your membership automatically renews. This will be done using the payment details from the payment card that you have provided when joining.
  • You can cancel your membership at any time and your benefits will remain valid for the duration of your annual membership.
  • Should you notify us that you do not wish to continue with Club Plus, your membership will be automatically converted to our free Dobbies Club membership when your Club Plus membership expires.
  • The membership fee will be taken on or after that day you sign up. We will try and ensure your membership fee is taken on the same date each year however, sometimes we may take this at a later date.
  • The membership fee will also be taken automatically each time your membership is renewed.
  • If we are unable to process your Club Plus membership fee, your account will move to our free tier. You will not be able to access your Club Plus benefits until such time as we receive your payment; benefits may not be applied retrospectively. To resolve this, please speak to a team member in-store.
  • We reserve the right to alter the membership fee for future renewals. We will notify you of any alteration at least 14 days in advance of the alteration, and you can cancel your renewal if you do not wish your membership to be renewed at the altered membership fee.

Direct Debit

  • Direct Debit is no longer available for new joiners. Please see recurring payment detail above.
  • Existing Direct Debit members will have a payment taken from your nominated bank account within 14 working days of the application being submitted and then annually on the purchase date thereafter.
  • Please note as a Direct Debit member you are covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee.
  • The membership fee will also be taken automatically each time your membership is renewed.
  • If we are unable to process your payment, your account will move to our free tier. You will not be able to access your Club Plus benefits until such time as we receive your payment; benefits may not be applied retrospectively. As direct debit is no longer available for new joiners, a new recurring payment would need to be created. To resolve this, please speak to a team member in-store.   • We reserve the right to alter the membership fee for future renewals. We will notify you of any alteration at least 14 days in advance of the alteration, and you can cancel your renewal if you do not wish your membership to be renewed at the altered membership fee.

Member discount

  • Dobbies Club Plus members benefit from a 10% discount on plants, bulbs, seeds (including grass seed) and Dobbies brand bird food all year round. This does not include already reduced or marked down products.
  • The member discount is applied at the till point in-store when a valid Dobbies Club Plus card is scanned. If your membership card is registered to an online Dobbies account the discount will automatically be applied at the online checkout.

Hot drinks

  • Dobbies Club Plus members benefit from 2 hot drink credits each month for the year of valid membership.
  • Two credits per month will be added to your membership card and can be redeemed against applicable regular hot drinks at any Dobbies restaurant. Please note hot drink credits cannot be redeemed at third party restaurants.  
  • If a Dobbies Club Plus member would like to upgrade to a large applicable drink they can pay the difference at the restaurant or Food To Go till.
  • Please note alcoholic drinks (and all drinks containing alcohol) are not included and will be charged at full price.
  • Credits cannot be used in conjunction with any other restaurant offer, promotion or Afternoon Tea.
  • The two credits are only valid for twelve calendar months in the year of membership. Credits cannot be transferred from month to month and must be used in the relevant calendar month for the year of valid membership. If you do not use them within the calendar month they will expire.
  • Members must present a valid Dobbies Club Plus membership card at the Dobbies restaurant till point to redeem the credit and benefit from the free hot drink. The membership card number can be entered at the till point if the member is able to confirm the card number.
  • Paper tea and coffee vouchers are no longer accepted in Dobbies restaurants or at third party restaurants.
  • If you lose your membership card, your remaining credits will be transferred to your new Dobbies Club Plus membership card.

Birthday treat

  • Dobbies Club Plus members who provide us with their date of birth at point of application or by updating their details at dobbies.com will be eligible for a birthday treat from Dobbies.
  • If the date of birth is not provided at the point of application we cannot guarantee a birthday treat will be sent.
  • Dobbies are only able to send a birthday treat to members who have provided a valid postal address.
  • Dobbies reserve the right to change or withdraw the birthday treat at any time.

Points

 Personalised saving

  • Your personalised saving is calculated by reviewing your purchases over the last 12 months and calculating what you've saved, including:
    • 10% off plants, bulbs and seeds
    • A maximum of 2 regular hot drinks per month that have been purchased

Reward Vouchers

  • Voucher(s) valid until 30th April 2024. These vouchers cannot be used to purchase HTA or Dobbies Gift Cards, cannot be redeemed in concessions or used for online purchases

Bonus points on specified products

  • Vouchers valid until 31st December 2023. Vouchers entitle the holder to the number of bonus points noted on the voucher when they make one single purchase in the specified product category. Points will be added to your account ahead of your next statement when you make a qualifying purchase of the stated amount (or more)

Restaurant bonus points vouchers

  • Vouchers valid until 31st December 2023. This voucher entitles the holder to the number of bonus points noted on the voucher when they make one single transaction in the Restaurant. Points will be added to your account ahead of your next statement when you make a qualifying purchase of the stated amount (or more) 

Member's Magazine: 5,000 points prize draw

  • Only one voucher per person can be entered. Entrants must be over 18. Prize has no cash alternative, is non-transferable and non-refundable. Entrants must scan a valid Dobbies Club card with the coupon to be entered into the prize draw. Entries to the prize draw close on 31/12/2023. The draw will be made by a Dobbies employee and their decision is final. Entry not open to Dobbies employees or anyone connected to the prize draw. Twenty winners will be selected and notified in writing by 31/01/2024
