    August and September is the perfect time to plant seed potatoes for December harvest. These tubers are held back by growers under cold conditions until late summer so that you can plant them later in the season.

    They need to be kept frost free, so they make excellent crops for growing in bags in the greenhouse or in sheltered veggie plots.

    Potato ‘Nicola’ produces good yields of uniform, oval tubers with smooth, white skins and shallow eyes. The waxy yellow flesh makes this variety ideal for boiling and eating hot or cold as a salad potato. Potato ‘Nicola’ shows good resistance to eel worm and potato scab, and has good storage potential.
