Most standard garden sheds in the UK don’t require planning permission—provided they don’t exceed size restrictions or restrict light to neighbouring properties. Still, check your local council guidelines to be sure. 

We generally deliver sheds within 5-7 working days, though remote areas (like the Highlands) may take longer. You will receive a text message with a 4 hour delivery timeslot approximately 48 hours before delivery. On the morning of your delivery, you’ll get an updated 2 hour ETA to your email address.

You’ll find sheds made from wood, metal, plastic, and composite materials such as resin. Resin or plastic sheds, such as the Keter Sheds range, offer low maintenance and weather resistance, while metal sheds (such as galvanised steel) are durable and rust-resistant. 

A firm and level base is essential. Suitable options include concrete slabs, pressure-treated timber bearers, or portabase systems. Ensure the surface is flat to support the shed and prolong its lifespan. 

Maintenance depends on the material:. Wooden sheds should be treated annually with preservatives to prevent rot. Plastic or composite sheds typically need only occasional cleaning, meaning these are largely maintenance-free. Always check your manufacturer’s care instructions to be sure what is right for your garden shed.
