- 250g (8.8oz) classic pizza dough
- 4-5 tbsp classic pizza sauce
- 6-8 mini pigs in blankets, cooked
- 3-4 tsp cranberry sauce
- 80g (2.8oz) fresh mozzarella, torn into chunks
- Half red onion, finely sliced
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Step-by-step guide:
1. Prepare your pizza dough ahead of time. We recommend following the Ooni Classic Pizza Dough Recipe.
2. For the sauce for this pizza, our favourite is the simple, but delicious, Ooni Classic Pizza Sauce. With a hint of garlic, salt and basil, it’s the ideal pizza sauce that will help to bring out the flavours in the other ingredients used here.
3. Fire up your Ooni Pizza Oven 15 minutes before you want to cook. Aim for 500 ̊C (950 ̊F) in the centre of the stone baking board. You can check the temperature inside your Ooni oven quickly and easily using the Ooni Infrared Thermometer.
4. Using a small amount of flour, dust your Ooni Pizza Peel. Stretch the pizza dough ball out and lay it out on your pizza peel. With a large spoon or ladle, spread an even layer of your sauce across the base. Top with your cheese, sausages, and onions. Finish with a few dollops of cranberry sauce.
5. Slide the pizza off the peel and into your Ooni Pizza Oven. Cook for 1-2 minutes, making sure to turn the pizza, using your Ooni Pizza Peel regularly for an even cook.
6. Serve the cooked pizza with a sprinkling of crushed black pepper, and an extra portion of cranberry sauce for dipping, if you like.
