Entry Criteria:
Dobbies’ colleagues are passionate about gardens and plants, championing garden living all year round to create experiences that bring people and communities together
Entries for Dobbies Community Gardens are open until 8 April 2024. Entries can be completed by someone involved in the project or a supporter
All forms should be completed by someone who is over 18
JUDDING CRITERIA:
Strength of entry – what is the project and why does it need our support?
Practicality – is this a project where we can make a difference to the people and community?
Any additional things that need to be considered for this project
Scoring system:
4 points – excellent
3 points – very good
2 points – good
1 point – poor
Zero points – unsatisfactory
JUDGING PROCESS:
All submissions will be reviewed by the relevant local store team, who will assess the written submission. Using the scoring system outlined, one winner will be selected for each of Dobbies’ 77 stores, if possible. The winners will be supported with products and advice, as well as volunteer hours provided by store colleagues. No cash donations will be made
The judges' decision on the winning projects will be the final decision
The winning projects may be verified with an arranged call to confirm all supplied details are correct
Winners will be announced at Dobbies’ free Grow How session on Saturday 4 May at 10:30am
Terms & Conditions:
This is open to all community and charity groups with an indoor or outdoor space
Must be a garden project that requires gardening equipment and advice
Not open to Dobbies’ colleagues or their immediate family
No cash donations or cash equivalent will be given
An adult over the age of 18 must complete the nomination form
Closing date is 8 April 2024. Entries after this date will not be accepted
Entrants must be UK residents and the area nominated must be in the UK – must be within 20 miles of a Dobbies’ store and 5 miles of a little dobbies
Only one entry per project will be accepted
Winners will be asked to take part in promotional activities related to the competition. This will include being named and or being photographed to appear in press publications
All winners will be asked to submit images of their project space. By providing your project images, you grant permission to Dobbies an exclusive license to reproduce the images for all marketing purposes. You also grant permission for photography when the projects are complete
Where images or photos appear in the press or on social media, Dobbies cannot be held responsible for errors and omissions
Photographs supporting the winning projects must have been taken within competition and project period
