      • The Blackcurrant Ben Nevis Organic is a deciduous shrub with green foliage and insignificant yellow-green spring flowers. By July, the large, deep purple blackcurrents will be ready to harvest and enjoy. They have an excellent, tart flavour and are packed with vitamin C and can be eaten fresh from the plant, or they are excellent in jams and pies.

        Please note that all our plants come in simple plastic pots unless otherwise stated in the product name. If you wish to pot yours up we do have a wide range of pots to choose from.

      • This product will come with any relevant warnings please read carefully before use.

      • Blackcurrants prefer a sunny site with well-drained but moisture-retentive soil, but will cope in most other soil conditions and tolerate light shade. Mulch annually with well-rotted manure or compost and apply a general purpose fertiliser in spring.
