BBC Let it grow

Let it grow

We have partnered with BBC Radio 2 as part of their Let it Grow initiative, by handing out 75,000 free packets of seeds

The BBC’s Let it Grow campaign is inspiring new growers, both young and old, to discover the joy of planting, and encouraging them to turn grey spaces into wild and colourful places, to help support the British wildlife

Free Seeds

We are proud to be supporting this great initiative, while also educating on sustainable gardening methods and championing pollinator-friendly seeds.

Spring is a great time to get into the garden and plant beautiful blooms for the season ahead. Customers can pick up the following seeds from any of our stores between 27 March and 28 May, whilst stocks last:

  • Calendula
  • Borage
  • Nasturtium

Helpful tips for sowing your seeds

Calendula, Borage and Nasturtium are fuss free plants that are easy to sow and great for injecting some colour into your garden

  • Start by sowing your seeds inside, under a cover or greenhouse to maximise the germination process
  • Once the seeds have grown to be bushy young plants, they are ready to be planted into your outdoor pots or borders

Thompson & Morgan are supporting us with this initiative and we are encouraging customers to visit their local Dobbies Garden Centres or little dobbies to collect a free packet of seeds
