Halimium libanotis

Rock Rose

Small evergreen shrub with bright yellow flowers

With bright yellow cup-shaped flowers with a deeper sunrise colour in the centre, the Halimium libanotis will bring a Mediterranean feel to your garden all year round.

Where?

This golden beauty flourishes in well-drained sandy soils and is best grown in a sunny area. Instead of seeds, you can save their cuttings to replant.

How?

Being a favourite among birds, the Halimium libanotis would look best in mixed borders and rock gardens.

The dwarf shrub is evergreen, so you can look forward to its sparkling presence all year long.

Planting instructions

Water the plant in its pot thoroughly before planting – give it a good soaking. Prepare the area by digging a hole twice the size of the pot. Dig compost into the base of the hole. Remove the pot and position the plant in the hole, with the top of the rootball about level with the surrounding soil. Refill the planting hole with a mixture of garden soil and compost, firming as you go. Water in well and keep well watered during the plant's first year.
