Buddleja davidii Pixie White

Butterfly Bush

A dwarf variety with unique white flowers perfect for patios and containers

A winner for a large container on the patio or to grow in the middle of a sunny border. The leaves have a silvery sheen which contrasts with the large, pure white flower spikes that are borne in profusion during summer.

Give this beauty plenty of sun although it is not fussy about soil types. Butterflies, bees, moths and other insects will love the sweetly scented flowers.

Water well in prolonged dry weather until your plant has established.

Buddleja was previously known as Buddleia

Planting instructions

Water the plant in its pot thoroughly before planting – give it a good soaking. Prepare the area by digging a hole twice the size of the pot. Dig compost into the base of the hole. Remove the pot and position the plant in the hole, with the top of the rootball about level with the surrounding soil. Refill the planting hole with a mixture of garden soil and compost, firming as you go. Water in well and keep well watered during the plant's first year.
