Buddleja davidii Florence

Butterfly Bush

Unique variegated form of Buddleja

Striking, two tone leaves of silver and yellow create the perfect backdrop for sweetly scented, smoky lilac flower spikes that appear through the summer on this unusual Butterfly bush.

An upright habit makes this shrub ideal for the back of a sunny border. It goes without saying that butterflies will flock to the flowers.

Plant in well drained soil. Water in well after planting and during prolonged dry weather until your plant has established. Cut back to half its height each spring once new leaves are seen.

Buddleja was previously known as Buddleia

Planting instructions

Water the plant in its pot thoroughly before planting – give it a good soaking. Prepare the area by digging a hole twice the size of the pot. Dig compost into the base of the hole. Remove the pot and position the plant in the hole, with the top of the rootball about level with the surrounding soil. Refill the planting hole with a mixture of garden soil and compost, firming as you go. Water in well and keep well watered during the plant's first year.
