Fantastic evergreen grey coloured foliage with bright yellow flowers

To bring a silvery sheen to your borders, look no further. With its compact, rounded shape this evergreen shrub has plenty of appeal. The rounded grey leaves are attractive year round and make a great contrast with darker leaved shrubs. In summer they are joined by clusters of bright yellow daisy-like flowers. A good choice for the middle of beds and borders.

Happy in full sun and any well-drained soil, this plant also loves to be beside the sea and will grow on hot dry banks.

Water occasionally until established. Once established it is not bothered by drought. Trim in late spring if needed to keep in shape.

Previously known as Senecio

Planting instructions

Water the plant in its pot thoroughly before planting – give it a good soaking. Prepare the area by digging a hole twice the size of the pot. Dig compost into the base of the hole. Remove the pot and position the plant in the hole, with the top of the rootball about level with the surrounding soil. Refill the planting hole with a mixture of garden soil and compost, firming as you go. Water in well and keep well watered during the plant's first year.
