Phlox paniculata Neon Flare

Outstanding flowers and beautiful scent

A classic cottage garden plant with clusters of eye-catching candy striped white and red flowers, flushed pink and packed on compact stems. Easy to grow and a guarantee of vibrant colour once summer is at its peak. They are also scented, and popular as cut flowers.

Where?

A great choice for the front of a bed or border. Best in full sun but some light shade is okay.

How?

Happy in any fertile, well drained soil. Enrich the soil with organic matter before planting - home made garden compost or well rotted manure is fine. Cut back in autumn once flowering is over.

Planting instructions

Water the plant in its pot thoroughly before planting – give it a good soaking. Prepare the area by digging a hole twice the size of the pot. Dig compost into the base of the hole. Remove the pot and position the plant in the hole, with the top of the rootball about level with the surrounding soil. Refill the planting hole with a mixture of garden soil and compost, firming as you go. Water in well and keep well watered during the plant's first year.
