Phlox paniculata Mystique Green

PollinatorAward

Cut and bring indoors and fill your home with beautiful perfume

A classic cottage garden plant with clusters of dark buds opening to soft pink flowers, flushed with green, which are carried on compact stems. Easy to grow, and a guarantee of vibrant colour once summer is at its peak. It is also scented, and a useful cut flower.

Where?

A great choice for the front of a bed or border. Best in full sun but some light shade is okay.

How?

Happy in any fertile, well drained soil. Enrich the soil with organic matter before planting - home made garden compost or well rotted manure is fine. Cut back in autumn once flowering is over.

Planting instructions

Water the plant in its pot thoroughly before planting – give it a good soaking. Prepare the area by digging a hole twice the size of the pot. Dig compost into the base of the hole. Remove the pot and position the plant in the hole, with the top of the rootball about level with the surrounding soil. Refill the planting hole with a mixture of garden soil and compost, firming as you go. Water in well and keep well watered during the plant's first year.
