Gaura lindheimeri Passionate Rainbow

Ideal for a dry sunny spot

Flowers float on wiry stems for months through summer and autumn. Very easy to grow in a border or big container in a sunny spot. Looks great with grasses and other summer flowers. Distinctive leaves add texture and colour through the growing season.

Happiest in a sunny spot, away from cold winds and well drained soil. Great for the middle of a border or gravel garden.

Add sand or grit to the soil when planting. Remove faded flower spikes to encourage more. Easy to look after once established - needs very little watering.

Gauras are native to Texas and Louisiana

Planting instructions

Water the plant in its pot thoroughly before planting – give it a good soaking. Prepare the area by digging a hole twice the size of the pot. Dig compost into the base of the hole. Remove the pot and position the plant in the hole, with the top of the rootball about level with the surrounding soil. Refill the planting hole with a mixture of garden soil and compost, firming as you go. Water in well and keep well watered during the plant's first year.
