Gaura lindheimeri Gaudi Rose

Compact form perfect for patios and balconies

A charming, free flowering perennials with slender stems rising above compact mounds of red tinted, green leaves and brilliant for adding colour to the garden in late summer. A compact variety with delicate rose-pink, butterfly-like flowers fluttering above the dark leaves from summer to autumn.

Plant in a sunny spot. Ideal for the front of a border or container.

Best in a well-drained soil, add coarse grit or sand to the planting hole if your soil is heavy and wet in winter. Use good quality compost for container growing and raise the pot on 'pot feet' through the winter months to help with drainage.

Gauras are native to Texas and Louisiana.

Planting instructions

Water the plant in its pot thoroughly before planting – give it a good soaking. Prepare the area by digging a hole twice the size of the pot. Dig compost into the base of the hole. Remove the pot and position the plant in the hole, with the top of the rootball about level with the surrounding soil. Refill the planting hole with a mixture of garden soil and compost, firming as you go. Water in well and keep well watered during the plant's first year.
