Euphorbia x martini

Martinu2019s Spurge

Provides interest all year long

This charming, compact plant looks great even when not in flower. Mounds of dark green leaves with very attractive reddish-burgundy undersides and stems create a handsome background for the chartreuse-green blooms emerging In late spring

Where?

Looks great in a gravel garden, or planted in a mixed border or container in a sunny spot to bring extra colour to your patio or balcony. It is the perfect size for a small city garden too.

How?

Best in a fertile and well-drained soil. Use a good quality general purpose compost for container growing and raise the pot on 'pot feet' through the winter months to help with drainage. Cut back the old flowered stems to make room for the new growth.

Planting instructions

Water the plant in its pot thoroughly before planting – give it a good soaking. Prepare the area by digging a hole twice the size of the pot. Dig compost into the base of the hole. Remove the pot and position the plant in the hole, with the top of the rootball about level with the surrounding soil. Refill the planting hole with a mixture of garden soil and compost, firming as you go. Water in well and keep well watered during the plant's first year.
