Dahlia Fifteen Love

Perfect for hot colour schemes

This vibrant dahlia has deep orange-red, single flowers displayed above really dark, glossy leaves. The flowers have a ring of small, pink-tinged inner petals around a dark central eye. A gorgeous cut flower.

Where?

A sun lover which looks great in a bed, mixed border or large container.

How?

Happiest in rich, fertile well-drained soil and give plenty of water and regular feeding through the summer. Enrich the soil with organic matter before planting - homemade garden compost or well rotted manure is fine. Use a good quality potting compost for container growing. This tall variety should be staked using bamboo canes for support.

Launched in 2011 to coincide with Wimbledon

Planting instructions

Water the plant in its pot thoroughly before planting – give it a good soaking. Prepare the area by digging a hole twice the size of the pot. Dig compost into the base of the hole. Remove the pot and position the plant in the hole, with the top of the rootball about level with the surrounding soil. Refill the planting hole with a mixture of garden soil and compost, firming as you go. Water in well and keep well watered during the plant's first year.
