Anemone hybrida Queen Charlotte

Japanese anemone

Very large semi-double bright pink flowers

A great choice for bringing welcome colour to the garden as summer turns into autumn. The soft pink flowers with glowing golden centres dance on wiry stems high above the leaves.

A good choice for bringing height and texture to a mixed border, in sun or part shade.

Happy in any good garden soil. Cut back to keep tidy after flowering. Water in well after planting.

Japanese anemones are native to China but have been grown in Japan for centuries.

Planting instructions

Water the plant in its pot thoroughly before planting – give it a good soaking. Prepare the area by digging a hole twice the size of the pot. Dig compost into the base of the hole. Remove the pot and position the plant in the hole, with the top of the rootball about level with the surrounding soil. Refill the planting hole with a mixture of garden soil and compost, firming as you go. Water in well and keep well watered during the plant's first year.
