Taxus baccata Corleys Coppertip

Prostrate form with unique copper coloured foliage

Stunning in late spring when this lovely conifer changes its deep green winter coat for young growths of coppery gold. This evergreen is slow growing and can be clipped to shape for a formal look to a border.

Where?

Easy to grow at the back of a border or as a hedge in most good garden soil and in sun or part shade.

How?

Water occasionally during dry weather until your plant is established and trim to help keep the shape in late summer.

Planting instructions

Water the plant in its pot thoroughly before planting – give it a good soaking. Prepare the area by digging a hole twice the size of the pot. Dig compost into the base of the hole. Remove the pot and position the plant in the hole, with the top of the rootball about level with the surrounding soil. Refill the planting hole with a mixture of garden soil and compost, firming as you go. Water in well and keep well watered during the plant's first year.
