Moroccan daisy

Perfect where spring flowers are needed

Price 1 Litre Pots £3.99 Each - 3 for £10

A delightful little plant forming a cushion of finely cut grey-green foliage. Masses of open, dark-eyed daisy flowers appear from mid to late spring and again from late summer through autumn. The blooms have pink  petals, darker at the edges, and deep golden-brown eyes and are carried on strong grey-green stems up to 25cm (10ins) in height. Much loved by bees and butterflies. A cheerful little plant, perfect for the small garden.

Plant in full sun at the front of beds and borders, alongside paving, in gravel or in pots and containers.

Any well-drained soil. Although quite hardy this plant must have good drainage; cover soil surface with grit or gravel to protect from wet. Remove faded flowers to prolong flowering.

Planting instructions

Water the plant in its pot thoroughly before planting – give it a good soaking. If planting in a bed or border test the soil to establish its pH. If the soil is too alkali it is best to grow your plant in a container. In either case prepare the area by digging a hole twice the size of the pot. Dig ericaceous compost into the base of the hole, if planting in a container use ericaceous compost to fill the pot. Remove the pot and position the plant in the hole, with the top of the rootball about level with the surrounding soil. Refill the planting hole with a mixture of garden soil and compost, firming as you go. Water in well and keep well watered during the plant's first year.
