Arabis alpina subsp. caucasica Little Treasure Deep Rose

Low growing evergreen with bright pink flowers

Price 1 Litre Pots £3.99 Each - 3 for £10

A low growing plant that forms tight cushions of evergreen leaves, which in spring is completely covered in a blanket of vibrant rose-pink flowers.

This charming plant likes any spot in full sun, and looks great edging a border or growing between cracks in a wall. It is perfect for an alpine bed or a rock garden.

It is easy to grow in sharply drained soil. Give the plants a trim after flowering to keep them compact.

The Caucasian rockcress is native to the Mediterranean and south eastern Europe.

Planting instructions

Water the plant in its pot thoroughly before planting – give it a good soaking. Prepare the area by digging a hole twice the size of the pot. Dig compost into the base of the hole. Remove the pot and position the plant in the hole, with the top of the rootball about level with the surrounding soil. Refill the planting hole with a mixture of garden soil and compost, firming as you go. Water in well and keep well watered during the plant's first year.
