Nutscene

Positioned near to Dundee, in the county of Angus, and employing local people, Nutscene still use the original machinery that produced their stock when the company was founded in 1922.  Their name derives from the fact that their green twine was used to tie back plants, and was ‘not seen’, leading to Nutscene.

Their first line was the patented ‘Greentwist’ centre pull lock tie spool of twine but the company are proud of the fact that they are expanding their product ranges.  Jute twine is still a major part of their offering, with 16 colours to choose from, including a neon range to bring a splash of colour to the garden … and no longer ‘not seen’.  In 1999 they introduced a high quality range of gardening gifts, which still proves popular and their iconic ‘Tin of Twine’ goes from strength to strength.
