Do you have wheelchairs in your stores customers can use?

Each of our stores have access to wheelchairs that customers can use on a first come first served basis.  When you arrive at the Store check with Reception to find out what is available.

At this time we do not have access to motorised wheelchairs.

Can I bring my dog to your stores?

During September 2016 Dobbies were pleased to introduce our Dog Friendly policy welcoming well behaved dogs into our Garden Centres (a link to the policy is shown below).  This has proven very popular with our customers and their dogs.  At the time of introducing this policy we had taken guidance from our Environmental Health Officer on how this policy should operate.  They were very clear that only assistance dogs should be allowed in our Restaurants and Farm Shops.  By law, dogs are not allowed to be near food preparation.  The guidance we received stated customers should not take their dogs through the Restaurant or Farm Shops, if a customer wishes to sit with their dog then they are welcome to use the outside area of our restaurants.

Read our dog friendly policy

Additionally, the EHO advised our trolleys should not be used to transport dogs around the Garden Centre.  This is for hygiene reasons as the same trolley can then be used by another customer who might place food in the trolley.

We do hope customers appreciate that our policy is designed to balance between Dobbies wanting customers to bring their dogs to our stores and ensuring we are complying with the appropriate guidance designed to support all customers.

We continue to listen to our customers feedback and review this policy to ensure its intentions are achieved and work for the majority of our customers, while being within the appropriate guidelines.

I am planning to visit the restaurant with my baby. Will I be able to breastfeed my baby?

Dobbies is a family friendly destination where mothers are always welcome with their babies. We believe mums should always feel comfortable wherever they are breastfeeding and are proud to support local NHS Breastfeeding Welcome Schemes.

I am planning to visit one of your stores with a disabled relative. What facilities do you provide for less able customers?

We provide disabled parking spaces, ramps, access and toilet facilities. All our stores have aisles wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs and  wheelchairs are available on loan to customers. We would recommend that you check with the reception desk at the store you are planning to visit for local arrangements in place.

I believe that I have been overcharged for an item at the store check out. What should I do?

If you simply return to store with your proof of purchase, we will be more than happy to correct this for you.

I wish to provide feedback on my visit to Dobbies.

We're always very keen to hear from our customers.  We love to read what customers like and also if there is anything we can learn and do differently.  Please go to our Contact Us form and a member of our Customer Care team will be in touch.
