Cottage Delight started out more than 40 years ago when Nigel Cope began making his delicious butter fudge recipe. With demand for gourmet products gathering pace, Nigel soon extended his range to include a selection of luxury jams, marmalades and chutneys.

Passionate about taste

Cottage Delight has remained true to Nigel’s dedication to taste and quality above everything else, using traditional methods and ingredients sourced locally and from around the world to ensure the highest quality products. Nigel’s passion is shared at Cottage Delight’s artisan factory in Leek where products are still made using small batch methods for an authentic homemade taste before applying pretty mop tops by hand.

Something special

The recipe for Nigel’s delicious, crumbly butter fudge is still used today (and remains a closely guarded secret) but over 40 years and 160 Great Taste Awards later, the Cottage Delight range now extends to 700 speciality food products that also includes soups, nibbles, baked goods and an increasingly popular range of craft beers and ciders.

And while traditional British foods are still very much on the menu at Cottage Delight, the company’s talented product developers travel far and wide to source the very best ingredients and artisan products from across the globe to appeal to its customers’ increasingly adventurous tastes.

“Our heritage as a company is important to us but that doesn’t mean we live in the past. Food is exciting and we’ve never been afraid to innovate, always discovering and developing new flavours and combinations that we think people will enjoy. You won’t find our products in the supermarkets. We love working with independent outlets like Dobbies who are passionate about the quality and variety of products and experiences they offer their customers. It’s the perfect partnership.”  - Nigel Cope, founder of Cottage Delight.

Cottage Delight’s products are available in Dobbies stores nationwide. Pick up a recipe card in-store or check out Cottage Delight's website.
