LOCAL SUPPLIERS BOOSTED IN NEW FOOD HALLS FOR ASHFORD AND GILLINGHAM

20 March, 2017

Dobbies Ashford and Dobbies Gillingham recently launched new Food Halls, a place where customers can shop a range of the finest food and drink products from much-loved brands and local suppliers.

The Food Halls will include artisan food and drink goods from dozens of local suppliers, including Butcher of Brogdale, Baker’s Bicycle, Curd and Cure, Page & Sons and Kent Chilli Farm.

Dobbies’ restaurants will also be cooking up some of the new produce on offer. Local foodies will love the all-new premium Butcher’s Breakfast including sausages and bacon, fresh from the Brogdale butcher – the perfect meal to set you up for a day of gardening.

Sherrianne Spearpoint, Store Manager at Dobbies Ashford said: “We are thrilled to unveil the new Food Hall. A lot of effort has gone into getting everything ready and I’m positive our customers will be delighted when they stop in.

“It was important for us to use this opportunity to engage with local suppliers in Kent – we’re incredibly lucky to have a wealth of farmers, bakers and cheesemongers on our doorstep.

Chris Swales, Store Manager at Dobbies Gillingham said: "We recognise there’s a real appetite for shopping local and we hope our customers will agree the Food Halls really do have something for everyone.

“The treats now available vary from local cheeses to cakes, bread to burgers. Our knowledgeable Food Hall team will also be on hand to offer advice and recommendations, helping customer’s source exactly what they’re looking for and help with cooking inspiration and recipes ideas”.
