Dobbies Garden World Shrewsbury gets the ‘green light’

Dobbies Garden World in Shrewsbury is gearing up for summer. Over £200,000 has been invested in the store to create a spacious modern shopping environment and customers are set to reap the benefits. Access to and from the store has also been improved with the addition of a much needed traffic light system on the Dobbies roundabout. The new traffic lights have been welcomed by Dobbies customers and staff and it’s now easier than ever to pop into the refurbished Centre.
Increased product ranges, a new machinery department and a specialist aquatics section are just some of the improvements in store at Shrewsbury. Centre Manager, Liz Wilkinson, says: “The new look centre really is a great day out for all the family – there’s truly something for everyone. The whole ambiance is very relaxing and inspirational and there’s plenty of space to have a good look around and pick up some new plants, garden furniture or simply find some exciting new ideas.
“And we’re delighted with the improved access via the new traffic light system – it’s something Dobbies have been pushing for on our customers’ behalf for some time and we’re pleased that the Highways Agency has implemented the necessary changes.
Following a period of extensive upgrades, the Centre now boasts a lighter, airier feel with even more new ranges added. Expert staff are always on hand to advise and offer some handy tips, whether you’re a keen gardener, an aquatics enthusiast, or even a budding cook looking for a new barbeque.
The store’s quality plants selection is bursting with colour and inspiration and the comprehensive gardening range now includes a new machinery department with a range of lawnmowers and strimmers to help give your garden the summer face-lift it deserves. There’s also an extensive choice of landscaping materials – perfect to create your own individual look.
But you don’t have to be an avid gardener to enjoy Dobbies. As well as everything you need to make your garden grow, the Centre has everything to help you relax and enjoy your garden, with exciting new furniture and barbecue collections, picnicware, lighting, gifts, homeware and accessories.
Fish enthusiasts will enjoy the major improvements in the Centre’s revamped specialist aquatic department. From novice goldfish owners to more experienced fish keepers, the newly enhanced Aquatics Department stocks a full range of tropical and freshwater fish as well as tanks, water features and all the specialist equipment needed to make sure your fish are kept healthy. Expert staff are always available to answer customer questions and make recommendations.
A visit to Dobbies would not be complete without a visit to the restaurant – now with even more seating available. Open 7 days, from breakfast right through to afternoon tea, the restaurant offers a range of freshly prepared meals, home baking and healthy snacks. Customers can also take home a gourmet treat or some fresh local produce from the Farm Deli.
