Dobbies new Garden Room brings the outdoors in

Dobbies Ponteland has launched a new Garden Room, bringing all a gardener’s essentials into one room of the garden centre. Boasting a huge range of gardening tools, equipment, lawn care products and accessories, the new room is bursting with inspiration.
Benefiting from the store’s £150,000 refurbishment, the new Garden Room is situated alongside the Centre’s main plant section, allowing customers to find everything they need to transform their garden all within one designated area. Store Manager, Grahame Darling, says: “So far, the feedback we’ve had from customers on the new Garden Room has been extremely positive. Previously, we had to move some of our garden stock to make way for all our Christmas goods but with the Garden Room we have more space than ever before. The Garden Room is a permanent feature and we now have an in store area set aside for our popular Christmas displays – so customers can enjoy the best of both worlds.”
But it’s not just the green-fingered who are benefiting from improvements at the Ponteland store. Over £10,000 has been invested in the store’s Aquatics Department with the recent addition of one of the most advanced marine filtration systems in the North East. In store Aquatics expert, Peter Gibson explains: “Thanks to our new advanced filtration system, the water in our marine and tropical fish tanks is of a better quality than ever before. This means we can accommodate more fish than ever, including more tropical breeds and salt water fish which will be of particular interest to the specialist fish keeper. We’ve even received a ‘star’ from the fish keeper’s ‘bible’, ‘Practical Fish Keeping’ magazine!”
