Can you please advise me of my local store opening times?

There is a Bank Holiday weekend approaching. Are your stores open over the weekend?

Dobbies likes to provide our customers with up to date information. Any changes to our usual trading hours will be notified on our home page. Alternatively you may contact your local store by telephone and the staff would be happy to provide this information to you. In the event of a weekend or Bank Holiday closure a recorded telephone message will also be available advising of the changes to listed trading hours.

I would like more information about a specific event at one of your stores (i.e. Santa’s Arrival, Breakfast/Supper with Santa, Charity Night, 20% Off Event etc). Where can I obtain more details?

Dobbies provides a varied programme of events for our customers throughout the year. Although they are arranged to one format there may be differences in timings and dates and, for some, booking in advance may be required. I have a question in relation to the availability of a specific product or item.

I would like some advice on caring for/identifying a plant.

Dobbies has qualified experts located within our stores where they can be available to our customers on a daily, face to face basis who would be delighted to assist you when you visit the store. I have purchased a plant and it has died. I would like to know more about your five year plant guarantee.

I wish to arrange a visit to one of your stores with a group. What should I do?

Dobbies welcomes groups and coach parties into our stores and restaurants. We would request that you notify the store staff in advance wherever possible to ensure that we are able to provide the best service and facilities to your group. I am planning to visit one of your stores with a disabled relative. What facilities do you provide for less able customers?

Dobbies conforms to government guidelines in relation to disabled access. We provide disabled parking spaces, ramps, access and toilet facilities. All our stores have aisles wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs and at many of our stores wheelchairs are available on loan to customers. We would recommend that you check with the customer information desk at the store you are planning to visit for local arrangements in place.

What is the Little Seedlings Club and how do I find out more?

Dobbies Little Seedlings Club events are held at all of our stores providing hands-on workshops for our younger visitors enabling them to learn about a variety of subjects including bird care and the growing of plants and vegetables. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop. For more details of our monthly events please check with your local store for times and to book your child's place. I believe that I have been overcharged for an item at the store check out. What should I do?

If you believe that you have been over charged you will need to report this to a senior member of staff at the store that you visited. Please have your receipt to hand as this will provide details of the transaction and also telephone contact details for the store.

I would wish to make a complaint specifically involving one of your stores. What process should I follow?

We are very sorry that you have reason to make a complaint about one of our stores. Please outline the details of your complaint in the boxes provided under the “Contact Dobbies Link” and select option “Garden Centre & Restaurant Feedback/Queries/Complaints”. Our customers are our number one priority and we will aim to respond to your complaint within 2-3 working days. Please do not use the “Online Customer Service” link as this is for contacting our online store team only. Alternatively you may telephone our Head Office on 0131 663 6778 and ask to be put through to the "Customer Contact Line" or write to us at Dobbies Garden Centres Ltd., Melville Nursery, Lasswade, Midlothian, EH18 1AZ. We do sell turf but currently only in-store.
