Planned Development East Kilbride
PROPOSED DOBBIES GARDEN WORLD - PEEL PARK, EAST KILBRIDE
Sustainability
We are committed to ensuring our development adheres to the principles of ‘sustainability’
This will include providing a minimum of 10% of our energy requirements from renewable sources and may include the use of wind turbines to generate power and biomass for heat
Our drainage requirements will also be planned for in a sustainable way
A ‘grey water’ system will be incorporated to recycle rainwater
All timber used in the construction will be from sustainable sources
Getting There
450 car parking spaces are proposed, including those for the mobility impaired. We also hope to attract visits from organised coach tours, adding further to the tourist attraction of East Kilbride.
Providing accessibility by means of transport other than the car is important. In this case, the site will be safely and conveniently accessible to those on foot, cycling and by bus.
We propose that all forms of access to our Garden World will be via the new roundabout currently being constructed on Redwood Crescent.
