Dobbies £200,000 make-over

Dobbies Garden World in Dundee has had a make-over with a range of store and stock improvements. Over £200,000 has been invested in enhancing the look and feel of the store and local customers are set to reap the benefits.
Following a period of extensive upgrades and extension, the store now boasts a lighter, airier feel with even more new ranges added. Whether you’re a keen gardener, an aquatics enthusiast, or even a budding cook looking for a new barbeque, there’s a bigger and better choice than ever before. Dundee’s General Manager, Charles Randall says: “The whole ambiance is very relaxing and inspirational and there’s plenty of space to have a good look around and pick up some new plants, garden furniture or simply get advice from our expert staff and find some exciting new ideas.”
And there’s inspiration by the wheelbarrow-load at the newly enhanced centre. The store’s Power Tool department has even more choice than before, with an extensive range of lawnmowers, strimmers and power-washers to help give your garden the summer face-lift it deserves. A new display area for the huge range of house plants will also give customers some new ideas and there are garden accessories galore to make outdoor living even more enticing.
With summer approaching, it’s time to bring the indoors out, and the newly enhanced store showcases an extensive range of popular cane garden furniture – effectively giving your home an extra room outdoors. Visitors can check out the cane suites on display and browse the range of gazebos and patio furniture, all designed to make the most of your garden.
Fish enthusiasts will also see major improvements in the Centre’s aquatic department which has benefited from a £50,000 upgrade. From novice goldfish owners to more experienced fish keepers, the soon to be completed Aquatics Department will stock a full range of tropical and freshwater fish as well as tanks and all the all the specialist equipment needed to make sure your fish are kept healthy. Expert staff at the Aquatics Centre are always available to answer customer questions and make recommendations.
