Work is now underway on our new Dobbies Garden World in Gillingham. With an expected opening date in Spring 2012.
The new Dobbies Garden World is located on the 6 acre brownfield site is next to Tesco on Courtney Road, Gillingham, opposite Gillingham Business Park. It's approximately 2.5 miles from Gillingham town centre.
A new garden leisure experience for the 21st century
An £8 million environmentally-friendly garden leisure destination for all the family.
Attractive internal and outdoor horticultural display areas, demonstration gardens and a specialist aquatics department set in an eyecatching landscaped environment on an 6 acre site. The centre will sell a variety of plants, shrubs and trees from local nurseries and more exotic varieties specially selected by our horticultural experts.
The centre will also boast a contemporary restaurant and Farm Foodhall selling locally-grown fresh farm produce.
Since 1865 the Dobbies name has symbolised quality horticulture, providing expert advice and inspiration to gardeners for over 140 years. Discover an inspiring programme of in-store events including gardening demostrations, ‘grow your own’ workshops, and talks by visiting horticultural experts.

We have a range of local initiatives led by our store Community Champions, including the Dobbies Little Seedlings Club which encourages children to take an interest in gardening with free monthly hands-on workshops.
Our ‘Here We Grow’ community programme provides the expertise, time and resources to encourage local communities to enjoy planting and growing in their garden.
