How do the Greenhouse Fly Catchers work in attracting the pests?
The Greenhouse Fly Catchers work purely by attracting the insect pests by their colour; aurelin yellow. They do not contain any other kind of atttractant, such as pheromones. Insects whilst on the wing search initially for plants to land on by a number of factors such as colour. Aurelin yellow is the specific colour which such insects are attracted to. By hanging the Greenhouse Fly Catchers above the plants the insects naturally land on the traps and they are caught by the tacky glue covering the sheets.

Is it safe to use the Greenhouse Fly Catchers in my conservatory?
Yes. Although they are called Greenhouse Fly Catchers, they can be used to reduce insect pests in many different locations around the home or indeed the office. The only care that should be taken is to avoid placing them in a spot where they could stick to people or pets as they are coated in a sticky glue which can be difficult to remove in some instances.
